We are a small, family company (established 16 yrs), specialising in the replacement of double-glazed units, (panes) in your existing UPVC, wood or metal frames.
We can replace a single double glazed unit, (DGU) or change all the DGU’s in your entire house. One window or many – we treat every job with the respect it deserves.
Failed, (misty, foggy, steamy etc ), windows are our speciality.
CHANGE THE PANES NOT THE FRAMES !
UPVC frames are not universally popular ! Many people prefer to keep their windows ‘in character ‘ with the house and area.
Since the inception of UPVC many companies have been reluctant to take on this more labour and time consuming work. Unlike many double glazing companies these days, we are happy to work on wooden frames.
We can either change existing failed, (misted up), DGU’s, or remove traditional single-glazed panes and install double-glazed ones in their place.
This means original features such as leaded lights can be kept, (top lights can be ‘backed’, reproduced or encapsulated.)
If you like the way a window looks, why change it?
We specialise in stepped units which were designed in the early 1970’s to get around the problem of shallow rebates built for single glazing, so, even the oldest frames – provided they are in good condition – can be kept and updated with the fitting of these specialist units.
